I think I give off a strong energy. I’m 5’9″, I’m pretty athletic and I’m pretty outspoken.
If people recognize me from ‘The Vampire Diaries,’ they just give me that look that’s like, ‘I think I know you. I think I saw you boxing in 1912, but I’m not sure,’ because it was such a short-lived run.
I am such that person that, when I’m working, I’m like, ‘Oh, what I wouldn’t give for a weekend off!’ And then, as soon as I have more that 18 hours without anything to do, I start shaking. It’s really funny.
I’d love to do a film. I’d love to play a character that I know the beginning, middle and end of.
Every job I’ve had since ‘Smallville’ has wanted me to have red hair, so I have to thank ‘Smallville’ for that. But, just the fact that it was so different was appealing to me. As an actor, you want to be able to play a lot of different things.

She has Native American, German, Scottish, Jewish and Estonian ancestry.
Among her skills are dancing (jazz, ballet, modern, hip-hop), water skiing, snowboarding, horseback riding, tractor/ATV/standard driving, and competitive volleyball and water-polo.
She is fluent in Spanish.
Cassidy plays keyboards and sings for the band “The Real D’ Coy”. One of the other band members is her brother Clark.
She is a supporter of the Environmental charity Heal The Bay which seeks to preserve and clean up the West Coast.
Has a 50-pound Swiss Mountain dog named Shasta.
She is an active member of the “Heal the Bay” charity, which works toward cleaning up and protecting the west coast waters, and taught and tutored children in Santa Monica as a part of the “Virginia Avenue Project”.
Her hobbies include hiking, quilting, playing volleyball and waterpolo and singing in her family band “The Real D’Coy”.
Graduated Magna Cum Laude from Middlebury College with degrees in Theater and Spanish.
Sings and plays piano in the three-piece band, The Real D’Coy, with her brother, Clark Freeman, who plays the drums.
