Bronfman was born in 1979. Her father is Edgar Bronfman Sr., a Jewish Canadian business tycoon and her mother Rita Webb, the daughter of a pub owner, hailing from Essex, England. She has an elder sister named Sara Bronfman. Her parents divorced in 1975, reconciled in 1983, but divorced again. After their split, the daughters resided with their mother in England and Kenya but paid frequent visits to their father in Fifth Avenue, Sun Valley, Westchester County, and Charlottesville, Virginia.
