Penn Dayton Badgley was born on November 1, 1986, in Baltimore, Maryland, U.S. to his parents Duff and Lynne Murphy Badgley. His father worked as a carpenter, home builder, newspaper reporter, and also contested for governor of Washington in 2008 from the Green Party.
