He was born on April 4, 1974, in Chittenango, New York, and died on February 4, 2016, in Greenville, North California, by way of suicide. Dave Mirra’s graduation was done from the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona after which, he moved to Greenville, North California, where he attended East California University. Mirra and his wife, Lauren had two daughters.

From 2008 till 2013, he completed rallying and rallycross as a member of Subaru Rally Team USA. He was also interested in Ironman Competitions competing in his first Triathlon in March 2013. The success of Mirra took him to other exceptional fields other than bike riding.
