Gail Kim, whose full name is Gail Kim Irvine, was born on the 20th of February 1977 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Coming to her education, she has attended York Memorial Collegiate Institute and has earned a major in kinesiology from the University of Toronto. She then went to Ryerson University from where she earned a major in nutrition.

Gail Kim married the popular celebrity chef Robert Irvine on the 11th of May 2012, who she first met on the set of the TV show, Dinner: Impossible. On the 10th of October 2017, she revealed that she had become an American citizen.

Career
Gail Kim decided to become a professional wrestler after completing her degree from Ryerson University, which led her to join Ron Hutchison’s School of Pro Wrestling in Toronto. She had her first match in the independent circuit in December of 2000, wearing a mask and wrestling as “The Queen of the Cats” in Apocalypse Wrestling Federation. However, she was eventually unmasked in a match against Tracy Brooks.
After working on the independent circuit for a year, she joined the World Wrestling Entertainment in 2001, which was then known as the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). She began wrestling in their then-developmental territory Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) and wrestled house shows and dark matches before being called up to their main roster.
She made her debut on 30th of June 2003 episode of Raw competing in a seven-woman battle royal match for the WWE Women’s Championship, which she won by eliminating Victoria and held the title for four weeks before losing it to Molly Holly. She then feuded with Trish Stratus, Lita, and Victoria for the rest of 2003 and most of 2004 before being released by WWE on the 3rd of November 2004 as a result of cost-cutting.
She joined Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) in 2005 and made her debut for the promotion on the 8th of October 2005 episode of TNA Impact!, and took on the role of the manager of America’s Most Wanted (AMW) and Jeff Jarrett. After the dissolution of the group in early 2007, she turned her attention to singles competition.
On the 14th of October 2007 at Bound for Glory PPV, she became become the inaugural TNA Women’s Knockout Champion by outlasting nine other competitors in a ten-woman gauntlet match. She then began a feud with Awesome Kong over the championship, which is considered to be one of the greatest women’s wrestling feuds of the 2000s.
She left TNA in August of 2008 after her contract expired and resigned with WWE in late 2008 and wrestled there until 2011. However, this run with the company wasn’t as impressive as her first run.
