Early Life
Jimmy Lee Swaggart was born on March 15, 1935, in Ferriday, Louisiana, to his parents Willie Leon Swaggart and Minnie Belle Swaggart. He is the nephew of Arilla Swaggart and is the cousin of Mickey Gilley and Jerry Lee Lewis.
During his childhood, he used to attend Ferriday’s Assemblies of God church. It was a small church with only 25 members.
