John Vincent Calipari was born on February 10, 1959, in Moon Township, Pennsylvania, in an Italian Family. He went to the Moon Area High School. He later attended UNC Wilmington for two years before shifting to the Clarion University of Pennsylvania from where he completed his bachelor’s degree in marketing. He completed his final two years of college from the University of Detroit Mercy.
