Jonathan Cain was born and brought up in Chicago, Illinois. His father’s name is Leonard, and his mother’s name is Nancy Friga. They both are Italian. When Jonathan was eight years old, he started developing an interest in music. To pursue his interest, he started taking accordion lessons. When he became a teenager, he got skilled in playing both piano and accordion. He began playing these musical instruments in clubs and at parties. In 1980, Jonathan left the group “The Babys” and joined the rock band named “Journey.” He took the place of Gregg Rolie on keyboards.
