Mike Campbell was born in a village in Panama City, Florida, on 21st February 1950. He was raised in Jacksonville, Florida, by his parents, where he went to Jean Ribault High School. When he turned 16, his mother bought him his first guitar, which was a Harmony acoustic model, from a pawn shop. His first electric guitar was $60, Goya.
