In the 2nd round of the 1985 Major League Baseball draft, Randy Johnson was drafted by the Montreal Expos. In his major league debut on 15 September 1988, he earned a fabulous 9-4 victory with a five-inning outing, in which he gave up two runs with five strikeouts against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Out of 11 games he played with the Montreal Expos, Randy went 3-4 with a 4.69 ERA and one complete game in 55.2 innings with 51 strikeouts and 33 walks.
