Symbiosis International University conducts the separate exams for law, engineering, design & other courses. These tests are organized for providing admission to its various constituent colleges. For B.Tech admission, SIT Engineering Entrance Exam (SITEEE) exam is conducted by the university. SET General is commonly conducted for admission to other undergraduate courses. Candidates seeking admission to SIU affiliated colleges can apply for the exam. Along with filling the application form for the exam, candidates are also required to apply for the institutions in which they want to take admission. Symbiosis SET 2019 Notification – Application Released

From the year 2019, SET-Law test will be known as Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT), SET-Design test as Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED), SET-Engineering as SIT Engineering Entrance Exam (SITEEE) and SET-General will continue as SET.

SET Application Form 2019

Get the information about SET application form 2019 from here:

  • SET 2019 application form for SET General/SLAT/SEED/SITEE exams is available through online mode.
  • The online registration has been started from 30th January 2019.
  • The last date for registration will be 14th April 2019.
  • Candidate can register either for one paper or for two papers, one in the morning session and another in afternoon sessions.
  • Enter all the required details carefully in the application form.
  • Before making the payment read all the instructions carefully.
  • Upload your scanned latest photograph.
  • It is also necessary for the candidates to apply for the preferred institute for the desired programme and complete the payment process for institutions before the last date.

Note:  If a candidate seeks admission in engineering courses on the basis of a national level test (such as JEE Main) other than SET then, such candidates need not apply for SET. Instead, they may directly apply to the concerned institute through national level entrance exam.

Application Fee

The candidate has to submit the non-refundable application fee of Rs. 1750/-. Following options are available for making the payment:

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for different undergraduate courses offered by SIU affiliated colleges is as follows:

Courses Qualification Eligibility
BCA
  • Passed 12th examination or diploma in engineering/technology with minimum 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST category candidates).
BA LLB/BBA LLB
  • Passed 12th examination in any stream with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates).
  • Candidates who have appeared the qualifying examination and results are awaiting are also eligible to apply. Such candidates are required to submit the passing certificate at the time of admission.
BBA
  • Candidates must have passed 12th from a recognized board with minimum 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST candidates).
B.Sc (Liberal Arts)
  • 10+2 pass from any branch with minimum 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST).
  • Foreign  Nationals  (FN),  Persons  of  Indian  Origin  (PIO)  &  NRIs  must  apply  through  the  Symbiosis Center for International Education (SCIE).
  • NRI candidates appearing final 12th examination in India are also eligible to apply.
B.Tech
  • Passed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics as a compulsory subjects with any one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical vocational subject.
  • Attained at least 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ST) in the above subjects.
  • Admission will also done on the basis SET (Symbiosis Entrance Test), JEE-Main or MHT-CET.
B.Sc. Economics (Hons.)
  • 12th passed in any branch with minimum 50% marks for general category and 45% marks for SC/ST category candidates.
B.Des
  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 (any stream; eg. Science, Commerce, Arts, etc.) or equivalent Or 10+3 diploma with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
  • Final year appearing candidates are also eligible to apply.

SET Exam Pattern 2019

The common written test of SET 2019 will be conducted on 5th May 2019. The paper pattern of Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) 2019 is given below:

  • Papers:  SET is conducted for the total of 4 papers viz Law, Design, General and Engineering.
  • Number of Questions:  Law, Design and General papers contain 150 questions while there are 200 questions in engineering and health sciences papers.
  • Exam Mode:  The exam mode will be online mode (computer-based test).
  • Duration:  The exam has a duration of 150 minutes.
  • Sessions:  It is conducted in two sessions: morning and afternoon session. Candidate can choose paper for morning session (9: 30 am to 12.00 noon) from Law or Design and for afternoon session (2.30 pm to 5.00 pm) from Engineering, General & Health Sciences.
  • Question Paper Type:  The question paper is objective in nature.
  • Negative Marking:  No provision of negative marking in SET.

SET Preparation Tips

Candidates can get some preparation tips for scoring good in Symbiosis Entrance Test from here:

SET Syllabus 2019

SET syllabus is different for different papers. The syllabus for engineering paper generally consists of 12th class. The questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics subjects will be of 12th class standard. General questions are asked from logical reasoning, analytical reasoning, reading comprehension and general knowledge.

SET/SLAT/SEED/SITEEE 2019 will be conducted in an online mode across 85 cities all over India. A candidate may choose three preferences of test cities of the following:

SET Admit Card 2019

  • SET 2019 admit card will be available via online mode.
  • Candidates can download the admit card on 21st April 2019.
  • Without the admit card, candidates will not be allowed to appear for the test.
  • Along with admit card, candidates have to bring any of photo identity proof (Passport, Driving License, PAN Card, Voters ID Card, AadharCard).

SET Result 2019

  • Candidates can check SET 2019 result through the official website of SET.
  • Result will be declared on 14th May 2019.
  • The score card will be available for one month after the date of result declaration.
  • The final merit list (SET Scores + PI-WAT scores) will be announced in the first week of June 2019.

SET Cut-Off 2019

Each institute will release its own cut-off marks . on the basis of SET Cut-off 2019, students will be shortlisted for the further selection processes. The cut-off marks will be different for different categories.

SET Counselling 2019

  • Each institution has its own selection process.
  • After the result announcement of SET 2019, students have to appear Personal Interaction and Writing Ability Test (PI-WAT)/Studio Test and Personal Interaction (ST-PI) round.
  • The merit list is prepared by providing 50% weightage to SET and remaining 50% weightage to PI-WAT.
  • Students will get the seat as per his/her rank.
