Udyog Aadhaar is Aadhaar for Service. It is a twelve digit Special Recognition Number provided by Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Federal Government of India for little and medium business in India.

It was launched in September 2015 with the function to promote small businesses. Since its launch, around 87 Lacs organizations have signed up for Udyog Aadhaar.

Federal government charges absolutely nothing for Udyog Aadhaar Registration and has not appointed any agent for the very same. As soon as applied the validity of registration will be life time assuming business will be a going concern. Services need not submit any return under the stated registration.

Eligibility for Udyog Aadhaar

Not every service is qualified for getting Udyog Registration. There is some criteria for getting eligibility for Udyog Aadhaar.

Procedure for getting Udyog Aadhaar

Registration under Udyog Aadhaar is through online procedure. Aadhaar card of Individual is compulsory for making an application for Udyog Registration.

Prior to completing the form, specific Aadhaar number needs to be validated through mobile number linked to the stated Aadhaar. In case of sole proprietorship, Aadhaar number of person is to be provided, in case of partnership company, the partner making an application for Udyog Aadhaar shall give his/ her Aadhaar number and in case of company, the licensed signatory using on behalf of business will offer his Aadhaar number.

After Aadhaar validation, fill out the kind. Details needed is

  • Type of Organization i.e. Exclusive/ Hindu Undivided Household/ Partnership/ Co -operative/ Private Minimal Business/ Public Limited Company/ Self Assist Group/ Others (Restricted Liability Partnerships)
  • PAN number in case of Co Operative, Private Limited, Public Limited, and Restricted Liability Partnerships.
  • Postal Address
  • Mobile number and email
  • Date of commencement of company.
  • Previous registration information i.e. details of previous MSME/ SSI registration if any.
