What’s new in UGC WEB Test Pattern July 2018–
First (Paper-I): 100 Marks (50 out of which 50 questions all are required) Period of exam: 1 Hours (0930 AM to 10.30 AM, IST).

Paper-I shall include 50 unbiased type compulsory questions each carrying 2 marks. The concerns which will be of basic nature, meant to evaluate the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to evaluate thinking capability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.
Paper-II will consist of 100 objective type obligatory questions each carrying 2 marks which will be based on the subject picked by the candidate.
All the concerns of Paper II will be obligatory, covering entire syllabi of earlier Paper II & Paper III (consisting of all electives, without options).
The candidate will have to mark the responses for questions of Paper I & Paper II on the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) Sheet supplied along with the test pamphlet.
