Inception
We all know how big a company Infosys is and what stature or status it has in the international as well in Indian tech market. However it’s beginning wasn’t that easy and it has seen its ups and downs during the early days.
Infosys was first introduced by a group of seven engineers in 1981. They started the company in Pune, Maharashtra, but later shifted to Karnataka, Bangalore. They initially named the company, Infosys Consultants Pvt Ltd. The name of the company has been changed quite some time. In 1992, when the company became a public listed company, its name was changed to Infosys Technologies Limited. Though the name was changed to Infosys Limited in 2011.
