He has performed as a part of the band on several successful albums including, “Black Sabbath” (1970), “Sabotage” (1975), and “Technical Ecstasy” (1976).

He left the band in 1980 and played in the band, Max Havoc, for a brief period. However, he soon returned to the band and performed on the 1983 album, “Born Again,” but left the band before they toured in support of the album. In 1984, he returned to the band to record new material with David Donato, but after several demo tapes, he left once again.

Coming to his solo career, he released his first album as a solo artist, “Ward One: Along the Way” in January of 1990, and released his second album, “When the Bough Breaks,” in 1997.
