Big Tigger was born on December 22, 1972, in Bronx, New York. He has grown up in Co-op City and was actively involved in sports. Tigger loved to play basketball and football. He graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park and took to DJing during the college years. Tigger was assisting Albie Dee, a popular host on WPGC 95.5 FM, Washington DC’s most popular radio station. He worked as an intern at the radio station.

Tigger was co-hosting it with Joe Clair and Big Lez on the tenth season of the Rap City’s show. There was a change in the format of the show which ultimately made Tigger become the solo host for the show from 1999 to 2005.
His other shows with BET included 106 & Park, BET Style, and BET. Uncut. Tigger’s radio journey was never put on a break during all this while. ‘Live in Tha Den with Big Tigger,’ was one of his most popular radio shows which he hosted till 2013.
