Admission Procedure
The admissions will be offered through centralized 15% AIQ counselling and 85% state quota counselling. Candidates can appear in both the counselling through national level NEET entrance exam. The seats will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of their rank secured in the written entrance test.
Entrance Exams
The entrance exams through which interested and eligible candidates can get admission in the medical courses are NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test), AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Science) and JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research). With these exams, candidates can get admission in MBBS/BDS courses. There is no state level entrance exam is conducted for medical courses. Applying candidates will be considered eligible only when he/she will fulfill the eligibility criteria given below.
- Candidate should be the citizen of India.
- OCI candidates are also eligible to apply.
- The minimum age to apply should be 17 years as on 31st December in the year of admission.
- The maximum age is 25 years and 5 years of age relaxation for reserve categories.
- Candidates should pass the 12th or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognized board.
- The candidate should score 50% minimum marks (40% for reserve category candidates) in the qualifying exam.
- Appearing candidates can also apply.
Selection Procedure
For admissions in MBBS and BDS courses, candidates should clear the NEET 2019 examination. After written examination, the eligible candidates will be called for counselling procedure on the basis of secured rank. Candidates can participate in the counselling after payment of counselling fee. At the time of counselling, candidates have to choose the colleges where they are wishing to get admission. The seats will be allotted on the basis of rank, filled choices and availability of seats. After the seat allotment procedure, candidates can report to the allotted centre to confirm their seats.
