In Open Book Assessment, the prospects shall be allowed to bring and consult their research study product, class notes, textbooks, Bare Acts and other pertinent papers, while attempting responses, according to the requirement of concerns. The focus throughout the examination would be in evaluating the candidates’ understanding of the topic, application of their minds, rather than the ability to memorise large texts, guidelines or law. Unlike a conventional/typical evaluation, which evaluates just how much details candidates have been able to store in their minds, the success in this type of evaluation depends on the candidate’s ability to understand the concern, identify fundamental issues, application of various techniques, laws, principles, etc. while composing responses with the help of supporting reference products. Candidates are not allowed to consult their fellow examinees or exchange their research study material/notes etc., with each other in the assessment hall. Further, they are restricted to bring any electronic devices, such as laptop, tab, I-pad, palmtop, smart phone, wise watch, health band, blue tooth, scientific/programmable calculator, or any other electronic device or gizmo at the examination hall/room. They are permitted to utilize their own battery ran noiseless and cordless pocket calculator with not more than six functions, twelve digits and two memories.
