ICAI CA Course Highlights and Benefits, Over a period of time, The Institute Of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) with all its efforts has acquired a leading position in Indian Economy. Various successful steps have been taken by the Institute such as Introduction of Direct Entry Scheme to the CA course. Direct Entry Scheme:
- The introduction of direct entry scheme allows graduates who have secured specified percentage to join CA intermediate directly and thus they are not required to give Common Proficiency Test.
- This Scheme has been initiated from 1st August, 2012.
- Specified Percentage: Commerce graduates requires 55%
- Graduates other than commerce Graduates requires 60%
- Candidates Passing CS Executive Exams conducted by ICSI OR candidates who have cleared CMA Inter held by Institute Of Cost & Works Accountant of India.
- Candidates who are enrolled by Direct Scheme have to start their articleship training before appearing for IPCC. Such Students have to complete at least 9 months article ship before appearing for CA IPCC EXAMS.

General Management & Communication Skills (GMCS) 1
- GMCS was introduced to equip students with Presentation skills, interpersonal Skills, Group Discussion, Stage daring, Appropriate Communication Skills
- Students have to undergo GMCS 1 during their first year of articleship.
- Students acquire GMCS completion certificate post completion of this course.
Information Technology Training Programme
- It provides training to students about Computer Fundamentals, Operating Systems, MS Word, MS Excel, Database, MS office, Accounting packages, E-filing.
- Students have to undergo ITT Training for 100 hours.
- Training has to be completed before enrolling for Articleship and after passing foundation.
Orientation Programme
- The objective of Introduction of orientation program is to equip students with effective communication and presentation skills, to inculcate values of integrity and independence in students.
- Course contents include Academic & Technical Guidance, Conversational Skills, Office Procedures, and grooming, Business Environment.
- Orientation program should be completed by a student before enrolling for Articleship and after passing foundation.
Information Technology Training – 2
- Students who have registered for articleship from 1st 2013 are required to undergo ITT-2, also called as Advanced ITT.
- ITT-2 is a 100 hrs program.
- Students will be provided relaxation from their offices for completion of ITT-2 course as it is mandatory by ICAI.
General Management & Communication Skills – 2
- GMCS-2 is a 15 days course mandatory for CA students.
- Students are required to complete GMCS-2 course in last year of their articleship.
- Students will be provided relaxation from their offices for completion of ITT-2 course as it is mandatory by ICAI.
