PESSAT 2019 Notifications – Application Last Date Extended

PESSAT 2019 Some Important Dates has been revised now. The examination for B.Tech exam will be organized from 20th April to 15th May 2019. Check Below.

PESSAT Exam Dates

Here, we are providing two tables in which the official schedule for PESSAT exam is given. One for B.Tech and another is for all other courses.

For B.Tech Course

PESSAT Application Form 2019

Candidates can get the application form only through online mode from the website. Check below other details about PESSAT 2019 Application Form:

  • The application form has been issued from 10th October 2018 for B.Tech & all other courses.
  • The last date to fill the application form will be the 12th April 2019 (for B.Tech) & July 2019 (for other courses).
  • There is no other mode to fill the application form.
  • In case of any mistake done by the candidate, the form will be rejected.
  • There is no need to send the application by post or through offline mode.

Application Fee

  • The application fee is Rs. 1050/-.
  • Payment should be done through online (credit card/debit card/net banking) or offline (Challan/demand draft) mode.
  • The DD will be made in the favor of “PES University General Fund” payable at Bangalore.
  • Candidates, those make payment through DD or Challan have to submit the DD/Challan along with the print application form in the given address:

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility Criteria are given below for engineering & other courses:

Nationality

  • Candidates must be a citizen of India.

For B.Tech Course

  • Qualifying Exam:  Candidates should have completed their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
  • Subjects:  Candidates have to qualify the qualifying exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.
  • Minimum Marks:  Candidates have to score at least 60% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam.
  • Score:  To get admission into B.Tech programme, candidates have a test score in PESSAT (National level exam) or KCET (State level exam) required.
  • Board:  Only the students of CBSE, ICSE, State, IB and IGCSE boards will be considered for admissions to the programs at PES. Students of other boards need to take prior permission before they opt for admissions.

M.Tech Course

  • Qualifying Exam:  Candidates should have completed BE/B.Tech degree in a relevant branch from a recognized university.
  • Test Scores:  Candidates have a test score in PESSAT, PGCET or GATE required.

BBA/BBA-HEM Course

  • Qualifying Exam:  Candidates have to pass their 10+2 or equivalent examination in any stream from a recognized board.

MBA Course

  • Qualifying Exam:  Candidates have to qualify their bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Minimum Marks:  Candidates should pass the above exam with 60% marks.
  • Appearing candidates can also apply.
  • Test Score:  Candidates have test scores in PESSAT, PGCET, MAT, CMAT, CAT, GMAT, GRE is required.

MCA Course

  • Qualifying Exam:  Candidates have to complete their undergraduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Subjects:  Candidates have to pass the above exam with Mathematics or Computer Science or Business Mathematics or Statistics or Business Statistics or Computer programming as one of the elective subjects.
  • Minimum Marks:  Candidates have to secure minimum 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam.
  • Test Score:  Candidates have a test score in PESSAT & PGCET.

B.Arch & BBA LLB Courses

  • NATA Score Card:  To get admission into B.Arch programme, candidates have to pass NATA exam.
  • CLAT Score Card:  For admission into the BBA LLB course, candidates have to qualify CLAT exam.
  • It is mandatory to fill the PEESAT application form in which candidates have to upload their CLAT/NATA score.
  • Qualifying Exam:  For B.Arch course, candidates must pass the 10+2 examination with 50% aggregate marks and should have studied mathematics as a mandatory course.

B.Des Course

  • Qualifying Exam:  Candidates should complete 10+2 or equivalent examination in any stream from a recognized board.
  • Minimum Marks:  Pass the above exam with 60% marks.
  • Score:  To get admission into this course, candidates have a test score in PESSAT & UCEED.

PESSAT Exam Pattern

The exam pattern is different for all courses offered by the PESSAT. Here, we are mentioning the exam pattern for B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA/M.Com/MA (Economics).

  • Exam Mode: The exam will be conducted only through online mode. Only for B.Des course, the exam will be held through paper and pen based.
  • Duration: The exam duration for B.Tech will be 3 hours and for other courses, it will be 2 hours.
  • No. of Questions: For B.Tech, total 180 questions will be asked. For other courses, total 120 questions will come in the examination.
  • Negative Marking: There is no provision of negative marking.
  • Interview:  After taking PESSAT exam, candidates shall go through a short interview on the same day of the test in the campus.

Note:  For the courses, BBA / BBA-HEM / BBA, LLB / B.Des / MBA / MCA / MTech / MSc (Applied Economics), PESSAT will be conducted on every Wednesday and Saturday starting from 7th January 2018 at PES University campus (Banashankari, Bangalore) ONLY. Candidates can take the test after booking their slots online.

PESSAT Syllabus

The syllabus of PESSAT 2019 for engineering will consist of class 11th and 12th level. For other courses, it will ask from Analytical & Logical Reasoning, English Comprehensive/Verbal Ability, Quantitative Reasoning and General Awareness. Candidates can go through the textbook of class 11th and 12th. Candidates can also study their previous academic course books according to the syllabus.

PESSAT Slot Booking/Admit Card

PESSAT 2019 Slot Booking will be started from 16th April 2019 through online mode for B.Tech course. The slot booking process for other courses has been started from 9th January 2019. In slot booking, candidates can book their exam date & time according to their preference. The slot booking process will be done on the first-come-first-serve basis. Candidates can book a slot by entering their personal details. No changes will be allowed once the slot booking done. Candidates will be able to get their PESSAT Admit Card after the completing of the slot booing.

PESSAT Result

Candidates those appeared in the PESSAT entrance examination can access their result through online mode. PESSAT results will be released in the last week of May 2019 for B.Tech course. For other courses, the result will be declared after one week of the exam. Candidates will check their results by entering the registration number and Date of Birth. Keep the print copy of the result for future use. On the basis of the result, the merit list will be prepared. Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the test score and personal interview.

PESSAT Counselling

Shortlisted candidates will be called for the counselling process on the basis of the merit list. The conducting authority will organize through offline mode. PESSAT Counselling will be organized in two rounds. For B.Tech course, the counselling will be started in the month of June 2019. Candidates have to submit the counselling fee of Rs. 500.

  • Six passport and stamp size photographs
  • Migration Certificate (If applicable)
  • Transfer Certificate
  • PESSAT Admit Card 2019
  • PESSAT Rank Card 2019
  • Two demand drafts of Rs. 2,80,000/- and Rs 5000/- in favor of “PES UNIVERSITY GENERAL FUND” payable at Bangalore.

PESSAT Admission 2019

Interested candidates can get admission in the PES University for the B.Tech course on the basis of PESSAT score and personal interview. The authority will organize a short interview on the same day of the test in the examination center after the PESSAT written test. For B.Tech programme, 60% seats will be reserved for PESSAT candidates. Remaining 40% seats will be filled through KCET a state level exam. The priority will be given to the PESSAT entrance test scores. Admission to BBA LLB course at PES University can be done through either CLAT score or by taking PESSAT. Admissions to B.Arch course at PES University is through the NATA score.
