RBI reduces repo rate by 0.40% (4.40% to 4.00%), all types of loans will be cheaper

Lockdown: RBI cuts biggest repo rate, loans will be cheaper EMI, Repo rate is the rate at which RBI lends to banks, its rate decreased from 4.40% to 4.00%. In the midst of the lockdown, the Reserve Bank has cut the repo rate as expected. This reduction in the repo rate is the biggest in RBI history.

In the midst of lockdown, efforts are being made continuously by the government to boost the country’s economy. Under this, the Reserve Bank has reduced the repo rate by 40 basis points as expected. After this reduction, the repo rate has come down from 4.40 to 4.00 per cent. This reduction in the repo rate is the biggest in RBI history. Let us say that in the last two monetary review meetings, the RBI did not take any decision on the repo rate. With this, the RBI has also reduced the reverse repo rate by 40 basis points to 4 percent.

RBI Governor reduced LIVE / repo rate by 0.40%, reduced from 4.40% to 4%; Reverse Repo rate reduced from 3.75% to 3.35%.

The benefit of the repo rate reduction is expected to be available to crores of people who have filled many EMIs including home, car or other types of loans.

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das held a press conference on Friday. In this, he announced a reduction in the repo rate by 0.40%. So now the repo rate will come down from 4.40% to 4%. At the same time, the reverse repo rate was reduced from 3.75% to 3.35%. 5 out of 6 members of the Monetary Policy Committee voted in favor of reducing the repo rate. The committee was to meet on June 3, but it was already done.

PMI at 11-year low

Coronavirus has damaged the world economy. Global manufacturing PMI declined to an 11-year low in April. According to the WTO, business in the world may decline by 13–32% this year.
The economic activity in the country has been badly affected by the two-month lockdown. Most of the top 6 states in the industry are in the Red and Orange zones. The industry in these states accounts for 60% of the contribution to economic activity.

Third press conference in last two months

This is the third press conference by RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das in the last two months to deal with measures related to coronavirus. The first press conference was held by the RBI governor on 27 March and the second press conference on 17 April. In both these press conferences, the Governor announced several measures to accelerate the economy and increase liquidity in the banking system.

The government has announced an incentive package of about 21 lakh crores.

To tackle the Corona disaster, the central government has announced a self-sufficient India incentive package of about 21 lakh crores. Several measures have been taken for the farmers including cash and cash to poor laborers, credit guarantee of Rs 3 lakh crore to MSME, credit guarantee to NBFC-MFI, additional allocation for MNREGA laborers. This stimulus package is equivalent to around 10.5 per cent of India’s GDP.

पीएमआई 11 साल के निचले स्तर पर

कोरोनावायरस की वजह से दुनिया की अर्थव्यवस्था को नुकसान हुआ है। अप्रैल में ग्लोबल मैन्युफैक्चरिंग पीएमआई घटकर 11 साल के निचले स्तर पर पहुंच गया। डब्ल्यूटीओ के मुताबिक, दुनिया में कारोबार इस साल 13-32% तक घट सकता है।
दो महीने के लॉकडाउन से देश में आर्थिक गतिविधियां बुरी तरह प्रभावित हुई हैं। इंडस्ट्री वाले टॉप-6 राज्यों के ज्यादातर इलाके रेड और ऑरेंज जोन में हैं। इन राज्यों की इंडस्ट्री का आर्थिक गतिविधियों में 60% कॉन्ट्रिब्यूशन होता है।
कोरोना के असर को देखते हुए 2024-21 की पहली छमाही में जीडीपी ग्रोथ निगेटिव रहने का अनुमान है। दूसरी छमाही में कुछ तेजी आ सकती है।
पिछले दो महीनों में तीसरी प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस

कोरोनावायरस संबंधी उपायों से निपटने के लिए पिछले दो महीनों में आरबीआई गवर्नर शक्तिकांत दास की यह तीसरी प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस है। आरबीआई गवर्नर ने पहली प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस 27 मार्च और दूसरी प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस 17 अप्रैल को की थी। इन दोनों प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस में गवर्नर ने अर्थव्यवस्था में तेजी लाने और बैंकिंग सिस्टम में लिक्विडिटी बढ़ाने के लिए कई उपायों की घोषणा की थी।

सरकार कर चुकी है करीब 21 लाख करोड़ के प्रोत्साहन पैकेज का ऐलान
कोरोना आपदा से निपटने के लिए केंद्र सरकार ने करीब 21 लाख करोड़ रुपए के आत्मनिर्भर भारत प्रोत्साहन पैकेज का ऐलान किया है। इसमें गरीब मजदूरों को नकद कैश और अनाज, एमएसएमई को 3 लाख करोड़ रुपए की क्रेडिट गारंटी, एनबीएफसी-एमएफआई को क्रेडिट गारंटी, मनरेगा मजदूरों के लिए अतिरिक्त आवंटन समेत किसानों के लिए कई उपाय किए गए हैं। यह प्रोत्साहन पैकेज भारत की जीडीपी के करीब 10.5 फीसदी के बराबर है।
